Key processes for residents
The most important workflows you'll need to manage as a public housing resident.
Paying rent
Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Pay through the Yardi portal, by money order, or in person at the EBRPHA office. Late fees may apply after the 5th.
Requesting maintenance
Submit non-emergency work orders through the Yardi portal or by contacting your community manager. For emergency repairs, call the EBRPHA main line immediately.
Annual recertification
Each year, confirm your household income and composition to keep your housing assistance accurate. EBRPHA will contact you with your recertification date and required documents.
Requesting a transfer
Need to move to a different EBRPHA community? Submit a transfer request to EBRPHA. Transfers are based on unit availability and program policy.

Report any changes in income or household size to EBRPHA as soon as they happen. Changes affect your rent calculation, and unreported changes may result in repayment or other consequences.
You must request approval from EBRPHA before adding any person to your household. Unauthorized occupants are a lease violation and can put your housing at risk. Submit a household change request through the portal or contact your manager.
Submit a transfer request to EBRPHA in writing. Transfers are based on unit availability and program policy. Contact your community manager or the EBRPHA main office to start the process.
Missing your recertification deadline can result in termination of your housing assistance. If you're having trouble completing the process on time, contact EBRPHA as early as possible — we can often help you avoid a lapse in housing.
